I will try to get you a history of Huntsville helmets. Based on what I remember:
Early-to-mid 70s, dark green helmet with white H (sorta small, but tall) and gray facemask
1977 to early 90s' the helmet was much like the one you have for 2008 (no green and black stripes until '89, and the hornet was much smaller). black face mask
2000, dark metallic green helmet with larger white H, white face mask
2002-03 (I think), white helmet with script "Hornets" with a tail underneath, green facemask.
2004-06, white helmet, with Titans' stripes and an white Jets oval outlined in green with a green oval-shaped H in the middle, green facemask
